With Joyful Song
Check out the following article about the role of singing as a key element of Christian liturgy: With Joyful Song.

piano image30 Minutes of Reflective Music for Personal Prayer
Please join us on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. in the Cathedral. Come and offer your prayers of thanksgiving, praise, and petition during these 30 Minutes of Reflective Music. Pray silently for your personal needs, the needs of your loved ones, or the needs of the world.

If you prefer, you may email your prayer intentions, in the strictest confidence, to Patrick Carlin, Minister of Liturgy & Music, at pcarlin@richmondcathedral.org. You may email the names of your loved ones in need of prayers for healing or your special intentions. Throughout the centuries, the Church has prayed intentionally for her members, for the world, for those in any need, and for the personal intentions within each heart.

About Us
In keeping with the tradition of cathedrals throughout the ages, the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart actively promotes and engages in the arts and social outreach for the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and the Greater Richmond Area.

Our 2010-2011 Cathedral Concerts seek to respect the diversity already present in the local community by programming inclusive, eclectic repertoire and by engaging performing artists from a wide spectrum of musical styles.

The Cathedral welcomes all! May our spirits be uplifted to God whose gift of music we celebrate!

Staff
Dr. Patrick Carlin, Minister of Music, ext. 105
Ms. Laura Candler White, Assistant Accompanist
Mr. Carey Bliley, Assistant Accompanist

All events are free (unless otherwise noted) and open to the public.

The Concert Series and the Guest Artists & Guest Choirs at Liturgies Series are made possible through a generous grant from the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation, the generosity of the community of the Cathedral, and your individual donations.
