Children’s Liturgy of the Word

The Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is a program that invites children ages 3 – 7 to leave the larger parish assembly during Mass to celebrate a liturgy in the large Sacristy with trained Catechists.  CLOW is held during the school year at the 9:00am Mass.

Children’s Faith Formation Programs

“Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10

Together we can help our children develop a personal relationship with God.  We encourage our children to develop an understanding of their Catholic faith through attending Mass, reading Scripture, sacred song, the sacraments, and prayer.  Parents, you are supported by your faith community to give your children the tools to welcome Christ into their daily lives to and the rest of their lives.

Preschool through 5th Grade Classes

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) meets on Sunday mornings during the school year between 10:05 and 10:55( between the 9:00 and 11:00 Masses). CGS is a Montessori based program that allows children to use hands on materials. A trained catechist will present a work, and the child chooses how they will respond. CGS is founded on scripture, the Mass, and prayer.

VIRTUS (Safe Environment Training)

Thank you in advance for your time!

Step 1: Contact Joy Weir that you are interested in working with children & youth and you plan to do the training.

Step 2: Schedule Your VIRTUS Training Workshop

When you register for the training, you will be required to submit to a background check. There is no cost to you for the background check. You will also see our safety regulations and be asked to do an electronic signature on our code of conduct.

You will see a number of upcoming three-hour training sessions when you click the link to register. These sessions are just a one-time commitment. After you complete the training session, you will receive short bulletins to read periodically. We encourage you to read these bulletins and complete the one question “quiz” as they are beneficial to you and this ministry. If you can’t find a training session that works for your schedule, please contact Joy Weir.

Faith in Action

How can we pass on our Catholic faith to our children? How can we use ordinary situations to show our children the love and presence of God? How can families support each other in these challenging times? Let’s connect as families and offer our support to our children’s formation.
