Blessed Is She

WHAT IS BLESSED IS SHE?

We are women who deeply want to grow in our relationship with the Blessed Trinity and dive into community (what we call sisterhood). In the Summer of 2014, twenty women came together with a common mission: to help women be in community with one another while growing deeper in their prayer lives. After waiting on the Lord’s timing, and being inspired by Luke 1:45, “Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord,” Blessed is She was born. Now at forty writers from all walks of life, Blessed is She offers daily devotions that are sent in your email inbox every day as well as Regional Retreats, Liturgical Devotional Journals, online workshops, Regional Facebook Groups, and so much more.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Beloved sisters, expect to be lifted up in prayer as you are surrounded by sisters who are also going through the beautiful struggles of life that God has called for us to walk through. Expect to receive the Truth- the infallible Truth given to us by our Lord. Expect to walk with Christ and your sisters, as we all learn how to live out our faith authentically in our everyday lives- in the most mundane of ways.  Expect to be loved and to love others by meeting them where they are. Expect to encounter Christ here and to be immersed in his love for you. There will be opportunities for bible study, prayer groups, and other fellowship events throughout the year!

Catholic Campus Ministry at VCU

Vision Statement

Catholic Campus Ministry at VCU seeks to faithfully proclaim the Gospel on the campuses of Virginia Commonwealth University. We exist to help students develop a deep prayer and sacramental life, grow in authentic and Christ-centered friendships, and inspire students to evangelize now and for the rest of their lives.

Location

The CCM House is located at 20 N. Laurel Street and is open to all students! There is space to pray, study, hang out, eat, and meet other students. Our Chapel is a beautiful, peaceful place to spend some time in prayer between classes. The doors face the Cathedral and Monroe Park. The hours are 10am-10pm or whenever the doors are open!
