“While Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God as the prisoners listened,
there was suddenly such a severe earthquake that the foundations of the jail shook;
all the doors flew open, and the chains of all were pulled loose.”
—Acts 16:25–26

St. Paul and Silas’s “concert” of sacred music in the Philippi prison was a source of consolation in distress. Likewise, the Cathedral draws people together and supports those in need through “Music for a Cathedral Space: The E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Concert Series.” These performances feature renowned artists from the local community and around the globe.
